Hermie Sadler's Fosho Bar & Grille
our story
Hermie Sadler’s Fo Sho Bar & Grille is proudly owned and operated by Hermie and his wife, Angie, both lifelong residents of Emporia, Virginia.
Hermie is the son of Herman Jr. and Bell Sadler and grew up alongside his older sister, Missi, and younger brother, Elliott. From an early age, Hermie and Elliott shared a passion for racing, competing in go-karts throughout their youth before advancing to professional careers in NASCAR. After graduating from Brunswick Academy, Hermie continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while pursuing his racing career. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations in 1991 and remains a dedicated supporter of the university and its athletic programs.
Angie is a graduate of Greensville County Public Schools and continued her education at Richard Bland College and Longwood University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1995. Shortly after graduation, Hermie proposed, and the couple married in February 1996.
Together, they have built a strong family foundation. They welcomed their first daughter, Cora, in 1997, followed by Halie in 1998 and Naomi in 2002. In 2001, Halie was diagnosed with autism, inspiring the Sadler family to become passionate advocates for autism awareness and support.
Cora followed in her father’s footsteps, graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a varsity cheerleader for both football and basketball. She now serves as head coach of the Varsity Cheerleading team at Brunswick Academy and works with Sadler Brothers Oil Company. Cora and her husband, Cameron, welcomed their daughter, River Bell, in October 2023.
Halie graduated from Brunswick Academy in 2018 and is a beloved part of the Fo Sho team. If you visit the restaurant, you will likely see her helping out and bringing joy to both staff and guests.
Naomi is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, where she was a standout Division III softball player. She earned multiple All-ODAC Tournament honors, was named to a regional all-tournament team, and holds program records in career walks while ranking second in hits and stolen bases. Her team advanced to the NCAA Division III World Series in 2025, finishing third. Today, she is actively involved in the family business at Sadler Brothers Oil Company and is set to marry her fiancé, Kory, in April 2026.
While Hermie is no longer an active NASCAR driver, he remains deeply involved in the racing world through The Premier Kart and the Southern Modified Auto Racing Tour. He previously served as an analyst for FOX Sports 1, covering the Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series before retiring from broadcasting in 2019. He also serves as Vice President of Sadler Brothers Oil Company in Emporia.
As Hermie continues to travel for racing events, radio appearances, and business, Angie plays a vital role in managing the family’s operations. She oversees their UPS Store, both restaurants, Fo Sho and Victory Lane, and handles bookkeeping for several of Hermie’s companies. The couple also owns a Shell gas station and convenience store in Skippers, Virginia, conveniently located just off I-95 at Exit 4.
